statement in december (apron shirt)

A long shirt with a pocket at the front and a tie at the back.
The front panel is cut longer than the back, and threading the tie through it makes the shirt front read as if a waist-level apron — like the kind café staff wear — has been seamlessly docked onto it.
Inspired by a styling the designer came across in a personal photobook, where someone wore a newspaper like an apron, the print wraps the whole garment in a graphic of a newspaper apron.
The fabric is a smooth cotton oxford woven from fine 140-count two-ply yarn, finished with a needling and needle-punch treatment for an antique feel.
