A glove made in collaboration with NANGA.
With a thumbhole, it can be worn like a fingerless glove, and it works well for tasks while worn, making it a good fit outdoors too.
One of the concepts running through SHINYAKOZUKA's collection this season is giving inorganic objects an organic connection, in the spirit of the phrase “a glove is a home, a lighthouse.”
Here, that idea is applied to a functional down item through “picture-like” embroidered stitching worked in a thick-gauge thread — an attempt to give it an organic warmth, as if the garment also worked as a canvas, beyond the inorganic function of down.
The fabric is a 15-denier ripstop nylon.
Made with an extremely fine yarn, it is ultra-lightweight while remaining durable and water-resistant.
The down is a high-quality recycled down, cleaned and re-refined from reclaimed down.
