words #1 'Good morning, I wish I could fly, never mind'

Penguin
I
kept chanting it in my mind.
Sometimes, it even slipped from my lips.
One
of the key elements in this collection is the penguin.
It all began last summer, when I stumbled upon a vintage T-shirt —
printed with a penguin and the words, “I
wish I could fly.”
It
was simply cute, yes —
but in that moment, I saw myself in that flightless bird.
“If only I were a bird that could soar freely through the skies.”
I’ve
always chosen the niche, the overlooked paths.
Perhaps, deep down, I’ve longed for flight.
But
through this brand,
I want to celebrate the niche.
For those who can’t find peace in the phrases that please the many,
For those who can’t leap as effortlessly as the rest,
I want to say — You
are just fine the way you are.
To
walk, with a heart full of yearning for flight.
And to believe,
that beyond the path we walk,
a breathtaking scene awaits.
That’s
what I believe — wholeheartedly.
This
collection was born from that belief,
where the penguin and the niche gently overlap.
With
the last season marking ten years of this brand,
I arrived at a new destination: affirming
the niche.
It
feels like getting off a night bus
while the moon still lingers in the morning sky —
not at the final destination,
but at the destination
before the destination.
And
so, this season is titled:
“Good morning, I wish I could fly, never mind.”
I’ve
gone on and on, as usual —
but in the end, what I always want to say is simple:
The scenes you find
while wandering,
while taking detours —
are beautiful too.
Just
like in Quruli’s “Good Morning,”
which we used for the runway.
It
ends, repeating:
“Keep on walking.”
