UNCLE'S CARDIGAN WITH PRINTING
This cardigan is made by knitting cotton yarns with large loops and then raising the surface of the yarn to cut the loops and raise the pile.
A reproduction of a Gauguin painting is printed before the loops are cut, and the raising process blurs the pattern.
The result is a mysterious finish that looks like mohair but feels like a towel.
The yarn itself is 100% cotton, so it is highly absorbent and does not feel as hot as it looks.
